Join us for a discussion around the history of women in politics within the state of Colorado

Colorado gave women the right to vote in 1893 and quickly became the first state in the world to elect women to a legislative body! And Colorado has consistently ranked at the top in percentage of women in a state legislature. Come learn more about Colorado’s extraordinary history and why it matters to have women in elected office.

      • Increasing awareness about the history of women in politics;
      • Discussing how systemic racism has worked to exclude women of color from politics;
      • Honoring the legacy of women who paved the way for political opportunities.
